img_0026 At nights when we go to sleep, first I roll up on her chest and purr for long minutes and I  just want to be petted. She would talk to me, tell me nice things that always feels good to  hear.  Then I move to my own side of the bed, as I expropriated the right side from her.    Never better.  It is fluffy, cozy and comfortable. I also got my own bed, but it feels a little  small.   I guess my Mom somehow missed the size, cause I can only roll up in it, but I am  not able to stretch out.   And it is so warm that sometimes I just can’t stand it.

Otherwise the whole house is mine.   The living-room couch is another spot where I often  sleep, especially if she is around.   I know she wants me on her lap all the time, but it is just  not my nature.   I like to be petted occasionally, but then I need my own space.  You could  say that this is not a real cat’s behavior, but this is the way I am.   And I think this is why my  Mom picked me out of those so many others.  I am a Diva, and I like to be treated like that    for sure.

may1520012 Another few days must have passed by in the shelter, as I went through a lots of  examination, they gave me needles that scared me to death, washed me, shaved  me in a few places, and I really didn’t know where was all this leading to.   Then one  day, I was taken out from the cage, placed in a carrier, put in a vehicle and driven  to a house.  The lady was very nice, she kept talking to me, saying whatever she  was saying, but when we arrived at her house, hell started.   She had seven more  cats, as I finally understood that I was just placed to a foster home.

I am a nice cat, but I don’t really like other cats.  I prefer to play with my own toys  and a human, rather than more cats.  I was frightened, angry, scared and I just  wanted to die.  And as much as I didn’t like the others they all wanted to play with  me, or just pick on me.  I could not sleep, eat, and go to the washroom without  being followed by at least two or three of them.  It was bad, bad and bad.  But I had no choice.  At least I had a roof over my head, I had food and the lady tried her best to make my life easier.

Small Dog Versus Large Dog

small-dog-versus-large-dogThere are a number of reasons why small dogs are preferred among many owners.  Unlike with medium and large dogs, you don’t have to worry about living in a small apartment, or not being able to handle them as you get older.  Feeding them is much easier, and some of them can even be trained to use a litter box.  They make great companions, and can accompany you almost anywhere.  They can travel well, fit inside a two wheeled dog stroller that allows you to carry them easily.  Small dogs want to be a part of the family and included in everything they do.

They are not always available at animal shelters and dog adoption agencies, however you can find different breeds at your local pet stores and dog breeders, as well as online.

dog-carrier-bagWhy would an average pet parent need a pet carrier?

You do need a pet carrier if you have a cat or dog that travels with you.  While driving you do not want your pet moving around the car.  This is very dangerous for you, your pet and other drivers.

3 in 1 pet carriers are an ideal option for traveling with cats and small dogs.   They act as a stroller, carrier and a car seat, providing protection, and a reassuring space for the pet within the vehicle, train or airplane.  Pets are more relaxed in their own safe and secure den which the pet carrier can provide.  When you arrive at your destination you will have a happier and more relaxed pet,  so consider your pet and get him/her a pet carrier.

Prices on pet carriers will vary widely depending upon the size, material and quality of the pet carrier.  For further items and options, visit our website at www.PetsStrollers.com and browse through our wide selection of pet carriers.

Major issues 2.

neutered-catA topic on top of the list.  Is your pet neutered??  Question always asked and answered in between pet owners.   Neutering a male is a procedure known as castration.  It involves complete removal of the testes via two small surgical incisions over the scrotum.  The scrotal wound is usually left open to heal up by itself.  Cats do not have vasectomies like humans do as they are neutered for other reasons in addition to birth control.   Neutering a female on the other hand is a procedure known as spaying.   It usually involves the removal of the ovaries and uterus via a surgical incision over the belly button.  Sometimes the uterus is not removed.  Note how this differs with the equivalent of human procedure, a hysterectomy, where only the uterus is removed.

The main reasons for neutering your cat are: birth control in males and females as well, stopping territorial behavior in males such as urine marking or spraying in the house, stopping them from wandering away in search for mates, reducing the possibility for erratic behavior over territorial disputes or by being on heat, and eliminating the risk of ovarian or uterine cancer and other rare diseases.

You should have your pets neutered at 6 months of age as they become sexually mature at this age.  Leaving it any longer brings the risks of an unwanted pregnancy on a higher level as cats are exceptionally good at getting pregnant at any given opportunity.   There is no such thing as too late for a cat to be neutered, but the closest to 6 months the better.  If your cat had kittens already, wait at least 3 month after the litter as the uterus has shrunk by then and the surgery is easier and safer.
