Pet Stroller – Why didn’t I think of that sooner?

sport_pink1My cat loves to sit by the window staring at the strange world outside.  I guess it’s her way of telling me she wants to experience the great outdoors and for the longest time I wanted to fulfill her wishes but was afraid.  I was afraid and concerned about her safety, but also sensitive to her needs.

I don’t know of any cat or dog that given the choice between being outside as opposed to being locked in doors wouldn’t opt for the freedom of the outdoors.  Unfortunately this isn’t always possible especially if you live in a large metropolitan city with its many cars and untold hidden dangers to your beloved pet.

I knew I had to come up with something to fulfill my cat’s needs when a friend mentioned someone should invent a stroller for pets.  This started me thinking so I decided to search the internet to see what I could find and as they say the rest is history.

The pet stroller was a perfect gift for her and for me.   She adores the rides in it and being treated like a Princess as we stroll around in the park or in the neighborhood.

If my fussy feline friend adores her pet stroller what makes you think yours wouldn’t?

Pet Strollers: Are they a luxury or necessity?

monogram-pet-jogger-3-wheeledIs a pet stroller a luxury or a necessity?  Some people say that a pet stroller is a waste of money while other people say it’s the best investment they ever made. Speaking from personal experience it’s the best investment I ever made.  I no longer have to feel guilty about leaving my precious cat home alone when I go to the mall or the park. I simply rollout her pet stroller, she hops in and away we go.

The stroller is a safe and convenient way for me and my cat to share time together away from home without the worries of her getting lost or being afraid in an unfamiliar environment.  She loves the attention from strangers and since pet strollers are not a common everyday sight it’s a great conversation starter.

I would love to hear from other pet owners on what your thoughts are.

Pet Jogging Stroller

a601_pink_combo7About the pet jogging stroller:  A great way to bring your pet along with you on your outdoor excursions.  The model you buy has to be durable and fit the criteria/reason of your purchase.  Here are some important points for you to consider before making your selection:
• If you intend on jogging with your stroller suspension is very important.  Your pet shouldn’t feel every bump on the road.  The larger the wheels on the stroller the more comfortable the ride will be.
• The inside of the stroller has to be roomy enough for your pet to be able to move and get comfortable.
• If you choose an open concept stroller a fitted seat belt is a must.  The last thing you want to see is your pet being jolted out of their stroller.
• An interior that is easily removable and washable.
• Storage compartments so that you can bring along treats, water and food for your pet.
• The handle should be padded so that it absorbs some of the shock.
• Finally, make sure that your stroller is collapsible for ease of storage.

It is a wonderful feeling when your pet can travel with you.  A pet jogging stroller is especially useful for older dogs and pets, and for ones with tiny legs who find it hard to keep up with you.  They are a great investment for serious pet lovers and will give you hours of fun with your closest furry friend.

Now that you have a better idea of what to look for in a pet stroller you can shop from our extensive line-up of strollers with confidence.  Give your best friend a more comfortable, luxurious and healthy lifestyle.  Be the first to pamper you four-legged friend.

Accepting the Pet Stroller

It was just about time that I figured out a way to make my cat able to experience the out world. She had a simple carrier and I used to put her outside in the backyard on the grass to enjoy the fresh air. However I soon had to realize, that this pet carrier wasn’t the most comfortable way for her. It was too small to sit in for hours. Of course, you would say you can easily let your cat outside by itself and he/she will come back, but as a concerned pet owner on such highly traveled city streets you think twice before you let this happen.

Therefore when I came across that you can buy  pet strollers original_strollerjust like for your babies, I was more excited to get it for her then I was hopping she would be. Once the stroller was assembled I just left it in the middle of the room for my cat to familiarize herself with it. Without any fear she approached it, smelled around then just jumped in it and appeared that she felt comfortable right away. So if you are concerned whether your pet will accept a stroller or not, let them explore and you can be sure they will adjust quickly to their new “toy”. Encourage them by taking them outside as often as possible; they will then associate a pleasant feeling with a pet stroller. Once the stroller will be on the move they will know, the fun time has arrived.

Little tricks can be applied to make your pet love the stroller. Give a treat, put their favorite blanket inside, and be patient. As you do, they need time to adjust to new things as well. My cat by now loves her stroller so much, that even when inside she loves taking naps in it. So can your pet. Consider buying a pet stroller to make your pet happy.

Dog Strollers

Dog StrollerWhile some people might react negatively to dog strollers, there are in fact a number of reasons to use one:

Do you have a convalescing dog? Place him/her in a dog stroller for a comfortable, stress-free transport to the car and hospital, without being investigated or hassled by other pets in the lobby.

Older dogs who get tired on the way home may appreciate a ride so their walks don’t get cut short.

City Sidewalks can give paws a beating, especially Los Angeles in summer or Minneapolis in winter. Road salt can dry and irritate paw pads.

pet-jogging-strollerAbout a month ago, I took a proactive approach to getting back in shape. Although I’ve never enjoyed physical exercise in a gym setting, running around the neighborhood at least provides some visual variation. I live in midtown Manhattan, where the sidewalks are clogged with slow-walking tourists and cell-phone clutching hipsters. Just getting through the fray is often impossible and I end up having my exercise routine put on hold or cut short.

That’s when I purchased a pet jogging stroller online and allowed my Chihuahua Fifi to ride shotgun during my jogs. All of a sudden, I found that people were moving faster in front of me and even moving aside to allow my passage. It seemed that the prospect of a pet stroller barreling toward them with great momentum was enough to get them moving. Now my dog gets a little extra fresh air each day and I can continue jogging unimpeded.
