sporty-pet-jogger-blackDogs are very well capable of experiencing many of the same emotional issues that humans deal with every day. They have the capacity to experience anger, aggression, depression, and anxiety just like their owners.  Anxiety is one of the main behavioral issues that many dogs experience.  The anxiety can be brought on by a stressful event such as going to the vet or something as simple as riding in a moving vehicle.  Other dogs may seem happy and emotionally healthy but are secretly hiding their anxiety like we humans often do.

If your dog suffers from depression or has trouble concentrating and relating to the world around them your vet can prescribe medicines or herbal blends of mood enhancing products to help them deal with these issues.  While medications can help your dog the best medicine is something you don’t need a vet to prescribe.  Spend more time socializing with your dog and keep them active.  Go for long walks, bring them to the park so they can run around and socialize with other dogs or take them for a vigorous hike in the woods.  The variety of activities you can engage in with your dog do are only limited by you, the benefits to your dog are endless.  And if your loved ones have any mobility issues, don’t forget the options are endless in pet gears that can help your pets still enjoy the outside world.
