imgp2345-misolata So, before I tell you more stories of my life, let me introduce myself.  My name  is Diva Princess and I was born in April of 2006.  I’m not sure  who and when gave  me this name, but apparently suits me very much.  Well, you know, I do have an  attitude, I do like things my way and I like  to be treated like a Princess.  I like to  be pampered, however I have my  limits. Sometimes it feels good to be petted  forever, sometimes I just  don’t need it.

I am a clean cat who does not go for the second time in the litter box if  it’s not  cleaned.  I am also very finicky when it comes to food, which of  course I know that causes lots of headache to my mom.   Mom?? Did I just say that??  Well, you know, I love her, she saved my life, and she always shows me enormous amount of love, so I figured I just call her Mom.

Cat Behavior

cat-behavior Everybody who owns a cat must agree that one common thing you will  inevitably see your cat do is push their head into anything that will  support the weight: furniture, piles of paper and your hand or your legs.  The reason for all this is the same: the cat is trying to “own” the various  things by putting their saliva on them.  When your cat rubs the side of  his mouth against things, he’s putting a little bit of saliva on it, creating a  scent that will then be familiar and comforting to them.  They act the  same way with visitors you might have, putting some scent on them to  know they belong to the house after all.

Another thing indoor cats love to do is lounging near windows  meowing, flicking their tail violently, knocking down whatever is on or  near the window ledge.   They are simply acting out their hunting instinct on whatever creatures, leaves, or falling objects they see outside.  If you want to see their playful behavior play out in full, drag an object on the ground with a piece of string and watch them go crazy to try and pounce it.  You’ll see very similar behaviors to what they show at the window ledge.  It is a normal and healthy behaviour.  Play with your cats in this way to give them exercise and to let them pounce around.

These are just two of the many common behaviors you’ll see out of your cat in the years of owning one.  By understanding why your cat behaves this way, you’ll be able to keep your cat happier and healthier.

Dog Toys

three-dogs Dog toys are relevant to dogs no matter what breed they are.  They help  avoid boredom.  There are different types of dog toys with different  purposes.  One type of dog toy is the active toys which are especially  made of very hard rubber to sustain when dogs chew it.  Then, there is a  dog toy for distraction.  This refers to toys that are to lure your dog  away from some destructive activities.  Toys for gaming, such as noise  making toys and toys with an open cavity within them for interactive  games are very popular as well.  Comfort dog toys are soft stuffed toys  that can give comfort to your dogs.  In the absence of these toys, your  dog might look for other things in your household to chew on that could  be destructive or health threatening to them.  Dog toys, beside  entertainment and exercise, are also good to train them.

And if you want to have a toy for both your beloved four legged friend and yourself, well then look into our wide variety of pet strollers that will bring fun and a different time-spending together.

Kids and Pets

child-and-dogs A child growing up with pets around is usually happy, affectionate and responsible from a very  young age.  They experience learning respect for animals and the importance of affection  becomes permanent.

How to bring out the best between your child and the pet is in your hands.  First of all, show  your child the proper way of handling pets.  Kids could be very excited when around pets.  Be a  guide especially if it is your child’s first time to have a pet.  Tell your child some facts about the  pet, this way your child understands what some important facts about cats/dogs are.  Encourage your child to play gently with the pet.  Introduce the use of toys.  Let your child  understand what the importance of sleeping is and how he could help in giving this to his pet.  Remind your child the importance of not letting the pet outside your home without  supervision.  To keep their pets safe, it is a must that your child learns how to protect the  cat/dog from any untoward incident.  Teach them the use of the leash or a stroller if that is the way you usually take your pet out.

Before vacation

s1202_redCouple of things to keep in mind if you’re thinking of taking your pet along with you on a trip.  First of all, make sure that pets are allowed wherever you are planning to stay.  Specify that you are traveling with a dog or a cat as different rules apply to different pets.  The “pets allowed” does not always reflect the fact that your cat can stay with you unless in a large case or not at all.

Before you leave, make sure you do a few essential things.  Pack a photograph of your pet, just in case they get lost, check their tag for identification, as details of your name, address and phone number should be accurate in case you need to be contacted.   Take them to the vet and make sure they are up-to-date with all the shots,  and also carry proof of their shots - you might need them as some places ask for proof of the latest rabies shot.

Try to make them get used to the leash and harness for longer periods of time.  Or if you like so, make them used to pet gears to sit still in them for extended periods of time.   Take them for longer drives so they get used to the idea of sitting still when traveling.   It is always safer to make sure your pet is well secured while in a vehicle, therefore consider the use of a pet carrier on the back seat, buckled in, in which they can be safe.

Taking those safety precautions will make your trip worry free and more enjoyable.

quadro-strollerIn many ways your pets are like a baby.   You have to take care of them, feed them, and play with them.   You are concerned about their well being, health and just want the best for them.

One of the best things you can do to ensure the well being of your pet is to ensure they get out of the house and get some fresh air as much as possible which is not always possible.   May be they have a fear of the outdoors or even worse a medical condition which makes it difficult for them to walk.   How can you help them overcome these fears or assist them so that they get the vital fresh air that is so important for their well being?

A pet stroller might be just what the doctor ordered.   It provides a safe and comfortable environment for your pet to enjoy the great outdoors without taxing their bodies.   We at PetsStrollers have a variety of strollers to meet your ever need.  Treat your pet like the prince and princesses they are.   The love you’ll get back will worth any money spent on these practical accessories.
