I believed the product was new and and when I received it looked as if it had been a badly taped up return. I did not even open it I immediately returned it at my cost

I purchased this stroller for my best friend’s dog, Chewy. He is a teacup Yorkie that wound up breaking his neck. He had extensive spinal surgery and was incapacitated for about 6 weeks. The stroller was a lifesaver. It was a great distraction and he felt like he was going for a walk when we took him out in it. It was a good place to put him when he was in the house so he didn’t topple over and hurt himself while healing. Now that he’s better he’s able to walk again and is doing very well, but when he goes for long walks they take him in the stroller and he’s just as happy in there as he is walking. The stroller is very sturdy and safe. It has plenty of vents. He can see out the front, top and back to watch his owner. I would highly recommend it and it was worth every penny.

After many years of my 2 doxies riding in their blue Happy Trails stroller, the wheels became worn. I ordered a new Happy Trails stroller in blue, which I immediately returned. Evidently the Happy Trails stroller has been redesigned and made smaller with smaller wheels. Why? Not only that, but the only other 4 wheeled stroller with the larger wheels (Jeep Wrangler) was discontinued. There is now no 4 wheeled stroller for pets with wheels larger than 6.5″. As stroller people know, the larger the wheel, the easier to push and 4 wheels are much easier than the 3 wheels to control, not to mention more compact. I am very disappointed in Pet Gear for not producing a replacement for either the Jeep Wrangler nor the larger Happy Trail model…..The Pink Plus is also not as big. With all the good reviews for these strollers, I can’t imagine why the downsize. I now have to buy new wheels for old stroller…Pet Gear would have made more money by me buying whole stroller.

We bought this stroller for our pet Maine Coon cat. At 15 lbs, he’s larger than some small dogs, so we needed a sturdy stroller to take him on our outings with our black lab. By and large this product performs well on smooth pavement. The wheels are good, the folding operates very well (from trunk to rolling in less than a minute), and the rear wheel locks are handy. Overall this is a good unit. I did not give it 5 stars for the following minor points:

    1. The zipper is hard to get started. Once it’s engaged, the mesh is taught over the front of the pet compartment, but that tightness of the mesh makes it somewhat cumbersome to get the zipper started. I love that the front opens completely, so it’s easy to access the pet compartment, but I have to get it half zipped to load the cat into the stroller and then zip it fully before the cat escapes. It usually takes me long to get the zipper started than to get the stroller out of the trunk and snap it into rolling position.

    2. The cup tray is not level with the ground when fully assembled. This is a clear design flaw. My car travel mug always tips and spills. This feature was not part of our purchasing decision, but it would have been easy to get the alignment right.

    3. Those bogus ribbed rubber sleeves that cover the legs of the stroller just above the front wheels appear to be flexible to accommodate a shock-absorbing (or at least flexible) attachment of the stroller’s frame to the front wheels. In fact the sleeves are just for show. The front wheel are mounted on the ends of an axle that passes thru small holes in the stroller’s frame. For my money, this is deceptive packaging.

Bottom line: good unit at a good price for paved strolls.

We are caring for a dachshund that recently had back surgery and can’t walk on his own. However, we have two other dogs who want to go for walks and the injured dog wants to go with them. The pet stroller enables us to take him with us and all three dogs are happy. It was easy to assemble (no thanks to the instructions, which were incomplete) and seems hardy enough for paved paths and some paths in the woods. The dog bounces up and down in the stroller at times, but it seems to be able to take it. This dog is about 20 pounds.
