Intelligent Cats

intelligent-cat1Cats are very intelligent animals.  An adult cat would inspect everything new, search everything in details and that would give him/her valuable information that they will remember very well.  They are very capable of forming “learning methods” through observation, imitation, trying and of course, mistakes, just like people.  A cat however cannot reflect upon the past or think in perspective, so punishing them for something they’ve done only minutes earlier is useless, because a cat is not capable of connecting the punishment with her actions.

Don’t never underestimate the intelligence of your cat!  Try and know your pet better, what is it that they want, how they like certain things.  Enjoy your moments together, play with them, teach them and then reward them time to time with something different, something unique, something that they need to explore again and again, and they can never have enough.  Something as unique as a cat stroller.

dog-sitter Most of pet owners experience the situation when they have to leave  their pets at home for different reasons.  A pet sitter could be a good  choice to leave your dog with, but you have to feel comfortable and  confident towards your pet sitter’s skills to take care of your pet.

Establish a clear list of duties and responsibilities you will be requiring  your pet sitter to do and the schedule he/she is required to be there for  your pet.  Dogs would generally need to have a regular visiting  schedule.  You should seek for references of his/her previous  employers to ensure the honesty and reliability of your sitter.  It is just  wise for you to discuss important information concerning your pet that  may include medical problems, personal requirements and  veterinarian’s contact details in cases of emergency.  Bear in mind that this person will have the full access to your house on top of managing care for your pet.  That is why it is exceptionally important that you have complete trust in them. By finding and hiring the right pet sitter who can be trusted, you will have that peace of mind and be able to leave your pet in safe hands.

doggie-day-care There are times when no matter how much you love you dog but you  can’t be with him. Working long hours, having a business trip to go to, or  perhaps you planned a vacation, sometimes your beloved friends have  to stay home.  There are however more and more options for pet  owners to make sure their dog is well cared for and has fun when they  can’t be around.

All dogs need socialization and companionship, preferably with us but  also with other dogs.  Dogs with high energy in particular don’t like to  just sit around the house and snooze all day.  Therefore you might consider dropping your dog off at a day care center.  These facilities typically take care of dogs from early morning to late evening, and in some cases they offer overnight boarding as well.  They offer socialization with other dogs in a group setting, play periods outside and inside, treats, toys, grooming and other forms of attention.  Typical fees range from $12 to $20 per day.  Different dogs will react differently when left behind but most should be happy.

Feeding Your Cat

cats-eating1 Giving nutritious food for your beloved cats is the key so that they  would grow and live a healthy life.  You also have to remember as much  as possible not to run out of drinking water.  Try to avoid giving your  cat meals that include By-products, such as “meat and/or bone meal,”  ”animal digest,” and added sugars.  Do not give food that includes corn  meal as filler, or meals that contain almost 50 percent of carbohydrates  fillers.  Feed your cat various food items as cats could get easily bored if  you feed them with the same food all the time.  And remember, cats  love meat, meat being the main and most important food type for them.

Beside feeding them, look after their grooming, everyday playtime and some well deserved fresh air which you can provide them in a lightweight cat stroller.

three-dogs-2 When the time arrives for selecting a dog to become a family member, you should have a  good idea of what you are looking for.  If you are just looking for an average dog, please  consider your local animal shelter first as you might be able rescue a loving little dog.

If you are looking for a puppy, rather than an adult dog, there are different methods of  selecting the best puppy from a litter.  The signs of a good temperament in a very young  puppy are friendliness, confidence, playfulness, and curiosity. First of all decide on sex, if  you want male or female, then you might consider colors or markings, and least but not  last look for a playful and happy attitude.

Choosing a mature dog will demand you look for different aspects.  A good temperament  is the most important quality of all.  Keep in mind that adult dogs are more difficult to  train, as they have already been trained by someone else.

The most important though is that you choose from the heart and not so much by the book, and you both will be happier.

three-dogs Dog toys are relevant to dogs no matter what breed they are.  They help  avoid boredom.  There are different types of dog toys with different  purposes.  One type of dog toy is the active toys which are especially  made of very hard rubber to sustain when dogs chew it.  Then, there is a  dog toy for distraction.  This refers to toys that are to lure your dog  away from some destructive activities.  Toys for gaming, such as noise  making toys and toys with an open cavity within them for interactive  games are very popular as well.  Comfort dog toys are soft stuffed toys  that can give comfort to your dogs.  In the absence of these toys, your  dog might look for other things in your household to chew on that could  be destructive or health threatening to them.  Dog toys, beside  entertainment and exercise, are also good to train them.

And if you want to have a toy for both your beloved four legged friend and yourself, well then look into our wide variety of pet strollers that will bring fun and a different time-spending together.
