I recently told my father about a stroll in the park I took with my cat Diva in her new pink pet stroller and his reaction was somewhat surprising. He wanted to know if I had recently suffered some head trauma that was affecting my mental abilities. In short he thought I was crazy.
To understand his reaction you first need to know something about my father.
My father lives in Hungary on a small farm and loves animals. He has had both dogs and cats all his life, but because he lives in the countryside he has never had to worry about the dangers faced by pets living in a large metropolitan city. His pets have always been able to roam freely without fear of getting hit by a vehicle. Unfortunately that isn’t the case for Diva and I.
I live near a busy intersection within a large metropolitan city. Cars, trucks and buses are a constant presents in my life and I wouldn’t know what to do if something ever happened to Diva while we were out and about.
So while my father may think I’m crazy, I think I’m perfectly sane. My investment in a cat stroller has reduced the stress in my life and we all know that stress can make you a little crazy sometimes.
