We hear about handicapped dogs all the time. Disease, accident, it doesn’t matter. If your dog needed an amputation surgery both your life and your pet’s life will change forever.
Amazingly though, within a week or two, dogs pretty much completely forget they are missing a limb. They can jump around, run, swim, play, and even climb stairs just as well as other dogs. They adapt very quickly to getting around on only three limbs.
You definitely want to keep an eye on your pet’s rehabilitation stages, watch their movements on a daily basis and make sure that they are not getting slower or weaker. If you find your dog is getting weaker, you can also utilize a rolling dog carrier to help your dog move around. Your dog can happily sit in a dog carrier and enjoy family outings and the fresh air without having to support their weight. You can also use the pet stroller around the house to help them get from one room to another. The pet stroller can become your pet’s best friend.
In recent years, I’ve become much more vigilant about my children’s diet and exercise routines. While I used to practice a relatively lax parenting style, it’s become clear that they need close supervision and guidance. My youngest daughter Elizabeth is already a bit pudgy, and I want her to stay healthy without worrying too much about her appearance. That’s why I’ve been looking for ways to mix physical fitness with fun.
We bought a pair of lightweight pet strollers for the girls and encouraged them to take their cats Jarvis and Ruthie for regular walks. Of course neither child knows that the idea is to promote exercise. I tell them it’s a chance to let the cats get some fresh air and enjoy the neighborhood sights and sounds. Now that I think of it, the experience is beneficial for the felines as well.
In many ways your pets are like a baby. You have to take care of them, feed them, and play with them. You are concerned about their well being, health and just want the best for them.
One of the best things you can do to ensure the well being of your pet is to ensure they get out of the house and get some fresh air as much as possible which is not always possible. May be they have a fear of the outdoors or even worse a medical condition which makes it difficult for them to walk. How can you help them overcome these fears or assist them so that they get the vital fresh air that is so important for their well being?
A pet stroller might be just what the doctor ordered. It provides a safe and comfortable environment for your pet to enjoy the great outdoors without taxing their bodies. We at PetsStrollers have a variety of strollers to meet your ever need. Treat your pet like the prince and princesses they are. The love you’ll get back will worth any money spent on these practical accessories.
Pet Stroller – Why didn’t I think of that sooner?
My cat loves to sit by the window staring at the strange world outside. I guess it’s her way of telling me she wants to experience the great outdoors and for the longest time I wanted to fulfill her wishes but was afraid. I was afraid and concerned about her safety, but also sensitive to her needs.
I don’t know of any cat or dog that given the choice between being outside as opposed to being locked in doors wouldn’t opt for the freedom of the outdoors. Unfortunately this isn’t always possible especially if you live in a large metropolitan city with its many cars and untold hidden dangers to your beloved pet.
I knew I had to come up with something to fulfill my cat’s needs when a friend mentioned someone should invent a stroller for pets. This started me thinking so I decided to search the internet to see what I could find and as they say the rest is history.
The pet stroller was a perfect gift for her and for me. She adores the rides in it and being treated like a Princess as we stroll around in the park or in the neighborhood.
If my fussy feline friend adores her pet stroller what makes you think yours wouldn’t?
If you are planning on going on holiday along with your pet, you have to be aware of certain rules you might encounter. To decide which dog carrier to purchase you should understand and look into the airline’s guidelines. Some airlines allow certain pets to be checked in as a carry-on. The only thing you should do at this point is to choose the right size carrier fitting the room under the seat in front of you. The dog carriers will be approved if they are smaller and fit there perfectly.
Some of the dog carriers are like backpacks, have two wheels for an easier pull and they are suitable for small dogs mostly. The choice will depend now only on your dog’s comfort and your preferences. You should make sure that your dog will be comfortable lying down in it for a longer period of time as flights might take hours.
Which young child does not want to have a dog or some other small animal around the house? They all do. However we all know that owning a pet is a huge responsibility. Who is going to feed them, walk them, brush them, and keep them safe and healthy? Things that you as a parent have to think before letting your child have a pet. Are they old and responsible enough to take care of their pets?
Allow your children to grow up with a dog aside, giving them good memories and a better appreciation for simple things. If your children expresses interest in helping taking care of your pet, let them! Consider the age appropriateness of their tasks, and they will love it!
Going out for a walk is an everyday task, however it could be challenging in many different ways. Consider putting the dog in a pet stroller as the child can handle them easier. It is like pushing their baby brother which makes them all proud.
You probably consider your pet stroller like most people do as a luxury item. However, you can’t disregard the fact that pet strollers can bring a lot of benefits and advantages to your beloved friends. In many different situations, these carriers can make your life and your dogs’ life easier. Once in the dog stroller, pets are safe and comfortable, ready to go along with you wherever and whenever.
Several small maintenance advices are always welcomed. First of all, when you put your dog inside a stroller, make sure that you trim its nails or claws not to get stuck in the net. Also, pet strollers get dirty through time, so it is a must to clean and wash them on a regular basis. Ensure that your dog’s weight matches the size or model of the carrier. Check the stroller’s weight capacity to ensure that it can fully support your dog. Don’t forget that puppies do grow eventually, so try to think ahead when making a selection. Check the road conditions and even though some of the strollers are designed for rougher terrain, try to refrain from going through places that can cause damage to the stroller and even your dog. By following the above mentioned tips, you will be able to maintain your dog strollers in great shape for a long time.
Even though I work as a veterinary technician at an animal clinic, taking my dog Clancy in for a checkup has always been a hassle. Living in the inner city, it’s not practical for me to own a car. Fellow passengers on public transportation understandably frown upon dogs being taken on the subway. For a long time, my only recourse was to depend on friends and co-workers for rides. Obviously I was putting them out because few people are thrilled to have a small dog running loose in their car.
Everything changed the day my dog carrier backpack arrived. Now I can stow Clancy safely in the large, breathable compartment and pedal to work on my bicycle. Of course the added weight makes a bit of a difference, but the hospital is only a few miles away. The arrangement allows Clancy a pleasant view of the surroundings, and it makes the logistics of his checkups much more convenient.
I was recently stopped by a neighbor while out for a walk with my pet stroller and congratulated on the new addition to my family. I was thankful for the attention, but when she then said she didn’t even realize I had been pregnant I couldn’t help but smile especially when the next sound we both heard was a loud meow coming from the stroller.
As my precious Diva meowed my only thought was where is my camera when I need it most because the expression on my neighbors face was priceless.
This wasn’t the first time that someone had approached me while I was out and about with my pink pet stroller, but it certainly was the strangest reaction I had ever encountered and made me wonder if anyone else who has a pet stroller has ever been approached in a similar manner.
I would love to hear from fellow pet stroller owners about your very own Kodak Moment and if you have any pictures to share I would love to see them.
Is a pet stroller a luxury or a necessity? Some people say that a pet stroller is a waste of money while other people say it’s the best investment they ever made. Speaking from personal experience it’s the best investment I ever made. I no longer have to feel guilty about leaving my precious cat home alone when I go to the mall or the park. I simply rollout her pet stroller, she hops in and away we go.
The stroller is a safe and convenient way for me and my cat to share time together away from home without the worries of her getting lost or being afraid in an unfamiliar environment. She loves the attention from strangers and since pet strollers are not a common everyday sight it’s a great conversation starter.
I would love to hear from other pet owners on what your thoughts are.
